Pomodivo — Privacy Policy

Effective date: 4 November 2026

Pomodivo ("the app") is a focus timer for Android and iOS. It is made and run by na6im, an independent developer. Questions about this policy go to pomodivo@na6im.com. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.

Summary

• There is no account. Your timer, your session records, your tasks and your preferences stay on your phone. The app never sends them to us or to any server: Pomodivo has none.
• The app has no analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
• The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Google's ad SDK starts only after your first completed focus session, and Google may collect some data from your device to show those ads (see Advertising).
• Remove Ads is a one-time unlock. Once you own Remove Ads, the app requests no ads and does not start Google's ad SDK.
• Purchases go through the App Store or Google Play, not through us.

What stays on your phone

The app stores these on your phone, and only there:

• the current timer: the phase, its planned length, when it started and the task attached to it
• a record of each completed focus session: when it started and ended, its planned length, the day and the title of the task attached to it
• your tasks: each title, when it was added and when it was marked done
• your preferences: focus session and break durations, the long break interval, alert sound, haptics, notifications and the active theme
• whether you own Remove Ads and All Themes, as the store last reported it
• when the app was first opened, whether a focus session has been completed, and when an ad and the rating prompt last appeared, so they stay spaced out
• whether the app has asked for the notification permission, and (on Android) whether it has shown its notice about exact alarms

Backups: the app opts out of Android backup, so on Android this data stays on that phone. The iOS device backup is left at its default, so an iCloud or computer backup of your iPhone includes this data, as it does for most apps.

Deleting your data

Settings > Privacy > Delete all data erases your session records, your tasks, your preferences, the current timer and any copies of damaged storage files kept on the phone. It keeps three things: the state of your unlocks, because your purchases belong to your store account (Restore purchases brings them back); the first-launch and spacing record for ads and the rating prompt; and the notification flags.

Data Google holds for ads is not on your phone. Google's own controls are linked under Advertising.

Notifications

The app schedules the alert for the end of a focus session or break on your phone, through the operating system. Its content does not pass through us or any other party.

Advertising (free version only)

• The free version shows banner ads and, at times, a full-screen ad when a focus session ends. They come from Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK.
• The ad SDK and Google's consent tool (User Messaging Platform) start only after your first completed focus session, and only once the store has confirmed at that launch that you do not own Remove Ads. Before that, the app makes no ad or consent request.
• Where the law requires consent (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), Google's consent form appears at the first ad opportunity, and ads are requested only once your answer allows them.
• To show ads and measure them, Google may collect device identifiers (on Android, the advertising ID), your IP address and the approximate location it gives, information about your device and the app, your interactions with ads, and performance and diagnostic data.
• On iOS, Pomodivo never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt, and every iOS ad request asks for non-personalised ads. On Android, ads may be personalised where your consent choices and the law allow it.
• Ad content is limited to the PG rating.
• Once you own Remove Ads, the app stops requesting ads at once, and from the next launch it does not start the ad SDK or the consent tool at all.

Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can manage the ads Google shows you in My Ad Center.

Purchases

Remove Ads and All Themes are one-time unlocks sold through the App Store or Google Play. The store handles the payment; we never see your payment details. At each launch the app asks the store which unlocks you own and keeps only the answer. See Apple's and Google's privacy policies for how they process transactions.

Rating prompt

The app may ask the store to show its rating prompt, and Rate Pomodivo opens the app's store page. Any rating or review you give goes to Apple or Google, not to us.

Your choices

• Change your ad consent: where consent is required, Settings > Privacy > Privacy choices reopens Google's consent form. A new answer applies from the next launch.
• Turn off ads and Google's ad SDK: buy Remove Ads.
• Erase the data on your phone: Settings > Privacy > Delete all data.
• Reset or delete your Android advertising ID: use your device's system settings.

Children

Pomodivo is meant for a general audience of 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

This website

This page and the rest of pomodivo.na6im.com are hosted by GitHub Pages, and GitHub may log the IP address of visitors (see the GitHub General Privacy Statement). The app sends nothing to this site: Read the privacy policy only opens this page in your browser.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version is posted at this address with a new effective date.
